Jesus refers to OT prophecies in his discourse in Matt 16:21

In many other cases, it was a day for action after a time of preparation of waiting (Abraham going to Mt. Moriah, Lot chasing Jacob, Pharaoh’s cupbearer, Joseph deals with brothers after imprisoning them, sons of Israel avenge Dinah, Jonathan would report to David on the third day of the feast, Jeroboam gave his decision to the people after three days, David arrived in Ziglag)
He was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures (I Cor 15:4)
