Much has been done in missions training, but very little has reflected the significant contribution of African American Churches. Please pray that these efforts will help accelerate the awareness of the potential within this strategic community...

Perspectives Intensive Institute [is scheduled for] the month of June. We are inviting people from all over the region to come together for three weeks of training. We will follow it with a workshop that will train people to produce other Perspectives Courses in the Midwest area. This is in addition to the normal semester- length offerings in the St. Louis Area. The second major step will be a St. Louis MissionFest in November. We will gather approximately 50 mission agencies to serve people in churches from a multi-state area. We are praying for 300-500 people. We need to gather initial promotional funding, an army of volunteers and a task force to handle the details.
